Catch up with our newest team members one month on

At the start of October we welcomed four new members of staff to the Glass Digital family. One month later, we caught up with David, Rachel, Jessica, and Jonathan to ask them about their experiences so far.

David Broderick — Content & Research Executive

“My first month at Glass Digital has definitely lived up to my expectations. I was trusted with writing content on my very first day, so the guidance from the rest of the copy team has been invaluable. They’ve been incredibly welcoming and friendly, and I’ve really enjoyed working with them.

“I was also given training in content marketing, on-site optimisation, and content auditing. The training ran simultaneously to the hands-on experience I’m getting, which has been a great way to learn. I’d never written for SEO purposes before, so it’s been a learning curve. I’m really looking forward to improving and completing bigger and more complex projects.”

Rachel Jones — Outreach Executive

“Prior to starting at Glass Digital I didn’t have a lot of practical experience in the digital marketing industry, so I wasn’t exactly sure of what to expect from the role. However, I can confidently say that my first month has been a great experience. I knew I would be learning while working, which has allowed me to soak up new information at a fast pace.

“Working within the outreach department has been provided me with useful skills and experience. The entire team has been very encouraging and they are always on hand to help me and share their expertise.

“I am looking forward to learning more about the clients and their assets, as well as building on my existing PR knowledge.”

Jessica Keir — Digital Marketing Executive

“I have learnt so much in my first month, including technical audits, content scopes, keyword research, disavowing links and so much more. The job is a lot more varied than I had expected and every site throws up new things we have to figure out.

“Glass Digital is such a positive and hands-on environment. You can tell people are passionate about wanting to succeed and ensuring the clients are happy. Clients are the number one priority and the online system put in place to ensure easy communication is testament to this.”

Jonathan Smith — Content & Research Executive

“My first month at Glass Digital has been thoroughly enjoyable. The team are great, the training has been excellent and I am glad I made the decision to come and work here.

“My favourite aspect of the role so far has been putting together outreach copy for clients. I’ve researched and written about a range of topics, from extreme trekking to fashion advice. The online optimisation side of the job has been challenging, as writing for SEO is new to me. However, it has helped to be surrounded by team members that are not only friendly, but also very knowledgeable. I am excited about the future and sinking my teeth into bigger and more advanced projects.”
