Google Search launches ‘About this result’ feature

In the US, Google has launched a search engine results page (SERP) feature that allows users to learn more about results before clicking through.

Google Shopping will suspend ecommerce sites that show higher prices at checkout

From 6 April, Google Shopping will suspend merchants that display lower prices on their listings than what customers are presented with at checkout.

Google starts displaying ‘years in business’ in local listings

Google My Business (GMB) has launched a ‘years in business’ label for eligible Business Profiles, which appear in local listings on Search and Maps.

Well-established businesses that fill in their ‘years in business’ on GMB could therefore benefit from higher click-through and footfall.

Google My Business is rolling out desktop messaging

Soon, all GMB business users will be able to respond to customer messages via desktop. Previously, it was only possible to respond via the mobile app.

This change makes it far easier for businesses to deliver fast and effective customer service through the platform.

You can now link Search Console domain properties to Google Analytics
