Glass Digital’s Jen Macdonald and Virginia Rizzi to deliver talk at Search Oxford

Mark your calendars: two Glass Digital members will be presenting a talk at the Search Oxford meet-up in June!

Search Oxford (formally ODWU) is a bi-monthly meet-up featuring two or three presentations on a range of digital marketing and SEO-related topics. The event offers marketing professionals an opportunity to learn new skills and network with great people, all washed down with a free drink or two from the open bar.

Jen Macdonald, our Head of Marketing, and Virginia Rizzi, our Head of Affiliate Marketing, will be delivering a joint talk as part of the June 8 meet-up. Their presentation will cover the key differences between link-building outreach tactics for affiliates and SEO, using real-world examples and case studies drawn from their respective experience.

As Head of Marketing for Glass Digital, Jen has seven years of experience in the digital marketing sector. She’s worked in three different agencies as well as a video production company, and has built up an impressive portfolio of skills across multiple specialisms in marketing.

With nine years of experience in affiliate marketing under her belt, Virginia joined Glass Digital back in 2018 and is now Head of Affiliate Marketing. After moving to the UK from Milan, Virginia now works on campaigns for global brands, building affiliate networks on an international scale.

Jen said: “I am honoured to have been asked to speak at the Search Oxford Meetup in June. After my first ever public speaking appearance at BrightonSEO in 2021, it’s fair to say I was thrown in at the deep end. However, it gave me great confidence to put myself forward for other speaking events and it was such a thrill once I had done it because my LinkedIn and Twitter were going crazy with well-wishers.

“For Search Oxford, my colleague and I will be discussing the difference between organic and affiliate link building and what this means for technical SEO. We hope to provide event attendees with some in-depth knowledge that they can share with their agency or in-house teams.

“It is the first time Virginia and I will be presenting together and I am really looking forward to being on stage with someone who has an incredible amount of knowledge and experience in the world of affiliates. Paired with my understanding of organic link-building, the audience is sure to go away with useful and actionable tips.”

Virginia said: “I am really looking for the Oxford meet up event and talk alongside my colleague Jen! I come from an affiliate background and talking in front of a Tech SEO crowd will definitely open up an interesting conversation.
